Overview

Fethiye is one of the 13 districts of Muğla province and the administrative center of the district. The old name of the city is Meğri. It is thought that this name derives from the Greek term Makri, meaning “far away land”. It is especially developed in terms of tourism. Its population in 2022 is 177,702. It is the largest district of Muğla.
